Screen Hunter Central Coast says it is in negotiations to secure a major feature movie which would be filmed locally for around three months.
The Hunter is one of two locations being considered for the movie, with filming to be based around an olive grove.
Tony Robinson’s television series Tour of Duty is also returning to the Hunter this week with filming culminating on
Saturday in Newcastle’s Civic Park.
Screen Hunter Central Coast CEO Annette Hubber says there are a number of projects in the pipeline.
“We are actually working on another big feature film,” she said.
“We are now narrowed down to two, it’s between us and Victoria.
“Now if that comes that will be fantastic.
“It’s about 3 months of filming in the Hunter.
“We’ve got everything crossed on that.
“They’ve gone a bit quiet in the last couple of weeks but I’m hoping that’s just holidays.”
