MANILA, Philippines – Neal Unger walks towards the neighborhood half-pipe with his trusty board in hand. Once he gets there, he performs a few neat tricks: a 50-50 grind, a lip trick, a low-level ollie.
He is no Tony Hawk, but all eyes are on him.
Unger is 60 years old.
He says skateboarding is a mental exercise for him because the focus needed keeps him sharp. He enjoys the sport so much, as he feels young despite his full head of white hair.
