The Incline track and field team got in one final tune-up before the postseason at the Fernley Invitational on Saturday.

The meet was cut short, however, as extremely windy conditions caused a dust storm that halted the event during the girls 3,200-meter run.

Junior Will Cory posted the Highlanders’ top result, with a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.91 seconds. Along with Ryan Eppolito, Conor Devine and Nick Barnard, Cory also was part of the 4×800 relay team that finished 12th in 10:29.69.

Matt Colby, a sophomore, placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 16.88 and also was eighth in the 100-meter dash in 11.58.
