When you’ve selected the herb you wish to try, you can brew it in several different ways. If you have bought herbal tea bags then the job is very easy – simply boil some good quality water in a kettle or sauce pan and then pour the water into your mug containing the tea bag. Herbal teas should never be brewed using boiling water as this can damage the herbs and remove some of the beneficial qualities. So, remember to wait until your boiling water has cooled down a bit before pouring it over your tea bag. Some herbal teas are loose-leaf, so you will need a tea pot with a strainer inside it or a separate strainer to remove the herb from the water. Brewing time should be between 3 and 5 minutes depending on how strong you would like your tea.
