Similar to how Lance Mountain’s pragmatic approach to skateboarding by riding on a pair of Air Jordan I instead, so too was the design elements that went into the Nike SB P-ROD 8, Paul Rodriguez’s newest signature skate shoe. With practicality, comfort, durability and Rodriguez’s admiration of Michael Jordan in mind, the design team at Nike SB also took into consideration of all technical breakthroughs they have at their disposal. Much like his first signature footwear, the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air, and subsequent Nike SB P-ROD 2, designers made a paradigm shift instead and added an all Nike Lunarlon sole. Along with Hyperscreen+ layer to improve durability, laminated Nike Flywire for an adaptive fit and new tread pattern specifically created for board flip and flicks, the P-ROD 8 is likely the most advanced skate shoe in the market today.
Set to launch on International Go Skateboarding Day, June 21st, the Nike SB P-ROD 8 will be available through select Nike dealers worldwide.
