It’s the old glass is half empty or indeed full, analogy. There are always two or even more ways of looking at things and as such it’s how you look at life’s issues and problems that will define how you react to them. It can be easy to see the negative in everything and this will likely lead you to all sorts of depressed thoughts and can actually damage your mental wellbeing. If you go into a new day looking for the bad then all you’ll see is the bad and anything good that might have happened to you as well will be overlooked. Try going into a day in the opposite way. It’s not an easy thing to do but if you actively look for the positive you’re more likely to see it.
It’s something which you’ll need to work on. We’re very good at seeing the other side and thinking, ‘wow that grass looks greener than mine…’ it’s in our natures to constantly want more and strive for success. Of course, when you’re not actively advancing every day or succeeding in all the things you do, it can be easy to get knocked down. You’ve got to be your own cheerleader, be positive and positive things will happen!
