SouthWest Transit is offering a variety of summer services, including trips to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, the Minnesota History Center, MinnesotaChildren’s Museum, Walker Art Center & Sculpture Garden and Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minneapolis Farmers Market, weekday Minnesota Twins games, as well as the Chanhassen Circulator.
Every Wednesday from June 11 through Aug. 20 (no service July 2), a bus will leave from East Creek Station in Chaska, SouthWest Village in Chanhassen, and SouthWest Station in Eden Prairie heading to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory, the Minnesota History Center, Minnesota Children’s Museum, Walker Art Center & Sculpture Garden or the Science Museum of Minnesota, according to a press release.
Returning for the summer is the Chanhassen Circulator. Route 692E provides service Monday through Friday allowing riders to access retail, restaurants and employment in and around downtown Chanhassen. In addition, at SouthWest Village riders will be able to connect with express service to Eden Prairie or downtown Minneapolis.
Service continues on the Twins Express to all weekday (no service weekends or holidays) Twins games from SouthWest Village in Chanhassen and SouthWest Station in Eden Prairie.
On Tuesday mornings the Eden Prairie Feeder Bus takes people to the Eden Prairie Center, Cub Foods, and Wal-Mart from various points across Eden Prairie.
Each Thursday, there will be regular service to the Minneapolis Farmers Market on the Nicollet Mall. The SouthWest Transit’s annual bus service to the Minnesota State Fair is Aug. 21 through Labor Day, Sept. 1.
