The Dodge YMCA celebrated their first Active Older Adult Week from May 26–30.
The week-long event was open to the community and attended by both current members and non-members. Group Fitness classes such as Zumba Gold, Master Fitness, Chair Exercise, Water Aerobics, Tai Chi, Aqua Zumba and Senior Fitness were showcased for attendees.
Tuesday’s events featured a lecture on fraud prevention for seniors from Assistant District Attorney in the Elder Fraud Unit, Karen Turner, of the Kings County district attorney’s office.
Other programming included presentations from Access-A-Ride, Investors Bank, Holistic Health Coach Vanessa Henderson and a writing class taught by Mary Harmon.
