LEXINGTON, Neb. – Due to heavy rain that flooded the horse arena in North Platte, the District 2 4-H horse show was held in Lexington.

The Dawson County Fair Grounds made the horse arena and other areas available on short notice.

The event went well for all who participated.

Seventy four riders were scheduled to participate in the show.

Fifteen counties in the area had entries participating in the events, including 15 riders from the Dawson county, ranging from Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure Riding and Western Horsemanship.

Pole Bending and Barrel Racing rounded out the events.

Anna Pesta was the official show judge.

Official results were not made available at press time.

Officials at the Dawson County Extension office stated that results would be made available following the final district show next week.
