JACKSONVILLE, FL–(Marketwired – June 13, 2014) – Festival Productions reports that tickets for the Florida Country Superfest, taking place in Jacksonville June 14 & 15 have been purchased in all 50 U.S. States, with hundreds of purchases from Canada.

“The reach and number of fans being attracted to this two-day event are strong indications that the Florida Country Superfest will be a major new American music festival,” said Quint Davis, Florida Country Superfest producer. “Jacksonville will be home to not just a country fest, but truly a Country Superfest that the entire state can be proud of.”

Visit Jacksonville President and CEO Paul Astleford said the visitor and tourism agency began receiving calls about the event immediately after the announcement was made in early November of last year.

“This event is going to attract thousands of visitors to our destination, many for the first time,” Astleford said. “The performers coming to Jacksonville represent some of the top acts in country music today, and the event will help solidify Jacksonville’s reputation as a growing destination for world-class entertainment.”

Visit Jacksonville has been collaborating with Florida Country Superfest in promoting the event over the last seven months with a focus on digital advertising, along with running numerous radio promotions in cities including Miami, Nashville and Philadelphia. Since the concert announcement in November, there have been more than 140,000 page views at the Visit Jacksonville website, along with more than 11,000 page views of the hotel packages for the event.

The city’s tourist development council (TDC) provided a grant to help with the advertising and marketing of the first-time event. TDC Chairman Bill Gulliford said that, based on ticket sales and the enormous national reach of the event, it was money well spent.

“I expected the Florida Country Superfest would generate a lot of excitement not only in Jacksonville, but throughout the Southeast, and across the country,” Gulliford said. “Hosting an event of this scale in our downtown is good for our residents, for our local hotels, restaurants and businesses that will benefit from this major influx of fans.”

Two nights of mega-concerts featuring today’s hottest country superstars will rock EverBank Field, which includes a festive tailgating atmosphere, boating on the St. Johns River and a free Fan Fest outside the stadium.

Hard rockin’ country rules opening night, Saturday, June 14 as country superstar Jason Aldean is joined by Album of the Year winner, Eric Church along with chart-topping Little Big Town, legendary Big & Rich with Cowboy Troy plus Colt Ford.

Entertainer of the Year, Luke Bryan, headlines night two of the Superfest on Sunday, June 15 along with the Fastest Girl in Town, Miranda Lambert, the aptly named Florida Georgia Line, Easton Corbin and Joe Nichols.
