Premature ejaculation? It’s not the end of the world!

We all love sex. It doesn’t matter who it’s with or where you have it, it’s universally accepted that as a species we’re rather into it. Unfortunately, nature has a rather vicious sense of humour and though she’s provided us with a wonderfully natural way of expression desire and sometimes love, she’s booby trapped it. That’s right, she’s dropped all sorts of nasty pitfalls in our path and though some of them can be avoided others may be more difficult to counteract. STD’s and similar can be avoided by practising safe sex and unwanted pregnancy in the same way, an issue which men alone may have to deal with and for which there’s no absolute cure, is premature ejaculation.

There are three possible treatment solutions you can try if you’re a sufferer of PE, if one doesn’t work for you then try the others and don’t give up. PE is a frustration but you can counter it if you work at it!

Meds – According to several studies there are some specific types of antidepressant which can be handy in countering premature ejaculation. Ask your doctor for more information on this and remember than antidepressants should never be considered a permanent solution to anything.

Anaesthetic Creams – When applied to the penis before penetration these creams may help you to delay orgasm by numbing the area. This isn’t a favourite treatment as these creams are put on 15 minutes before intercourse and under a condom, which can be tricky. Worth a try though!

Behavioural Therapy – This is the art of distraction. Therapists will teach men how distract themselves during intercourse so as to help delay their orgasm and prolong the experience. This method of treatment probably offers the most lasting of effects and may prove the most useful for this reason. Talk to your doctor for more details, sooner is better and great sex could be just around the corner!
