Want to pedal along Portland streets without any motorized traffic?
Thats what Sunday Parkways is all about.
Bicyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to North Portland this Sunday, June 22, for the 25th edition of Sunday Parkways.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., people can bicycle or stroll along a nine-mile loop of traffic-free streets, partaking in food, live music and other activities along the way.
The route connects five parks, including Peninsula Park Rose Garden.
This Sunday, We All Can Ride, which organizes bicycling activities in the New Columbia neighborhood, will lead rides for residents of the public housing complex throughout the afternoon.
This is the seventh year of the popular Sunday Parkways series in Portland, and the first of four this summer. The next ones will be July 27 in Northeast Portland, August 24 in Southeast Portland and September 28 in Southwest Portland.
