The city gave the go ahead to apply for a loan from the Texas Water Development Board, moving the permanent water reuse project forward.
The loan would save the city about 7 million dollars over 30 years on the estimated 30 million dollar project.
The project, which will take about 3 years to complete, includes a permanent pump station at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant and pipeline to transport about 10 million gallons of treated water to Lake Arrowhead.
And the construction bid for the PPG water reuse project was awarded to Cothran Construction from Wichita Falls.
That project will cost almost 2 million dollars.
Some of that cost will be covered by PPG.
