Mediate Away The Inflammation; It’s All About Being Calm

Modern medicine is a fairly miraculous thing. It’s astounding when you consider it’s a global venture of research and development which most countries have contributed to at least once. What else can we say this for? Yes, there are other conglomerated efforts but not which have spanned so long and none which have achieved so much. Medicine is always advancing, sometimes in a slow crawl and other times in leaps and bounds but always moving forwards with perpetual innovation.
At one time most holistic treatments were sneered at by the established medical community. For many methods of treating a patient this might be fair enough as some have very little in the way of evidence to back them up. However, in recent years and decades more and more holistic treatments have come under scientific scrutiny and testing and quite a few have shown genuine medical benefits to patients.

Meditation has long been accepted as a fantastic way to counter stress. Through countering stress it can be used to successfully ease the symptoms of some fairly major conditions, the most dangerous and best known of which is probably heart disease.
New research has suggested that a technique known as mindfulness meditation may be just as beneficial for sufferers of inflammatory conditions like arthritis or asthma. Sufferers of both conditions have to deal with the fact that they’re chronic and with them for life and as such, anything which can ease the symptoms will be a great relief to both sets of patients.
Mindfulness mediation involves continually focusing the mind on breathing, bodily sensation and your own thoughts while breathing slowly. This is an immeasurably potent tool for clearing the mind and easing tensions both inside and outside the body.

Why not give it a go and let us know if it helps your arthritis or asthma?
