All Exercise Is Good Exercise: Get Out There And Get Going!

There’s a credo which you should start to live by: ‘All exercise is good exercise’. Too many people think that if they’re not jogging miles a week or going to the gym or doing any sort of structured exercise, they may as well not be exercising at all. This is simply not the case, any movement that you make is exercise and it’s all great and burning off that excess fat, helping you either get into or stay in shape.

You need to start thinking of the little things which you can do to increase the amount you’re moving every day. Experts recommend around 30 minutes of exercise a day but they don’t specify what kind of exercise to do because it really doesn’t matter! If you’re exercising in a period of time where you’d otherwise be sat still then you’re on the right track!

Think of all the things you could do to lose weight. Walk instead of driving if you can manage the distance. Even short spurts to the local shop or a lap around the park at lunchtime is going to help you out! Try and take the stairs instead of taking the lift, going up and down stairs several times a day is a great way to burn off some excess calories. Buying a bike can be another excellent solution to exercise and you’d never guess it but subconscious ticks like tapping your fingers burn off calories too!

I was absolutely serious when I said that all exercise was good exercise. Don’t pay attention to the show offs who run ten miles a week and never shut up about it. Successful exercise is about slowly incorporating it into your life. You don’t need to run a marathon to get healthier!
