Vitamin D – to substitute for the sun
We should be able to get our levels of vitamin D sky-high from exposure to the sun. Unfortunately in cloudy Britain, there’s often not really the opportunity for us to get enough exposure. And when we do, we’re covered in sun-cream which stops the body from being able to absorb the rays. Vitamin D deficiency is common, especially in the winter and it can cause you a lot of problems.
Fortunately, supplement pills are available, although the recommended daily intake is relatively low. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin, so it should be taken with food.
Fish Oil – to focus the body
Fish oil is not only great for your overall health; it’s also been shown to have excellent results in decreasing body fats. However, where fish oil excels is in focusing the body during an exercise routine – you’ll get more out of your workout. Take a spoonful a day with a meal.
Whey protein – to build your muscles
If you’re looking to grow your muscles, whey protein supplementation is the most effective way to do it. Blend the protein powder into a thick shake and notice the benefits straight away.
Multivitamins – to keep you healthy
Multivitamins are often erroneously used as a way to make up for a poor overall diet. Obviously this won’t be effective – but multivitamins are fantastic in combination with a healthy diet and regular exercise. It’s important to have consistency with this supplement, so take it before a meal every day.
