One of the best and easiest ways to exercise is on a treadmill. Half an hour of strenuous exercise a couple of times a week will help you reach your weight loss goals without needing to exercise excessively. Going to the gym three nights a week is always going to be a lot easier than running miles a day and it will give you the advantage of personal trainers should you need them. Even though it’s easy to train on a treadmill there are still some important tips and tricks which might up your effectiveness and make sure you get the very most out of the experience:
Psych up, make sure you’re mentally ready to run. Have your water bottle to keep hydrated and make sure you’ve got the right shoes and gear on. If you get sweaty during exercise then bring a nice clean towel to keep yourself dry and the sweat out of your eyes.
Warming up is incredibly important. A lot of people who haven’t exercised much in a while forget this and then regret it massively the next day. Make sure to stretch out your legs and your arms and to start slow and then work your way up. Going at it full tilt straight away is one sure fire way to do yourself some damage!
Slow to start with and then gradually build up speed. You want to get sweaty and feel the strain as researchers have shown a little strenuous exercise is much better than a lot of less exerting exercise. So get those legs pumping and that heart thumping!
Exercising on an empty stomach is a great idea as you’ll feel much less sluggish and your metabolism will burn much faster. Have a snack after you’re done to keep yourself going if you have to!
