Missionary Tops The List As Best Sex Position

There are so many sexual positions you could include in your sex life, but most of us only play it safe with the same four or five. This is a sure-fire way to develop an uninteresting sex life that will cause your relationship to stagnate. However, of all the sexual positions on offer, the missionary position is couples’ favourite! This is the most common sexual position, without a doubt, but is one that we all feel most comfortable doing and can enjoy the most. Though feminists have been known to deride it for its male-controlling feature, a 2011 survey put this position at the top of the list.

The benefits of this position is that its easy and doesn’t require a great deal of energy from either party – it involves the man entering the woman from on top, facing one another. It’s renowned for being a very intimate position, thanks to the positioning which enables plenty of kissing and eye contact. The body to body contact also makes this a very close move, so it’s perfect for a more romantic action. There are some drawbacks though – it can be easy to get into a routine of using this position over anything else, which means your relationship could start to settle into a rut after a while. It’s also not advised during pregnancy.

Sex is a fun and sensual way to increase the intimacy in your relationship, opening your relationship up to new forms of communication both physically and verbally. Communication is key in any relationship, so be sure to talk openly to your partner about your likes and dislikes, and listen to theirs. Whether it’s trying new positions, using toys in the bedroom or acting out fantasies, there is plenty of scope for a fun-filled sex life.
