We’re often told that our diets can make-or-break our health – and in many ways, it’s exceptionally true. The foods we consume each day can affect our metabolism, weight – even our moods can sometimes be a result of eating the right (or wrong) foods.
Would it be any surprise that our sex lives may be affected, too?
If you want to improve the cheeky sides of life, pay attention to these foods:
- Watermelon – Nature’s Viagra. “The more we study watermelons, the more we realize just how amazing a fruit it is in providing natural enhancers to the human body,” said Dr. Bhimu Patil, director of Texas A&M’s Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center. On researching the fruit, Texas A&M discovered that watermelons contain arginine, which relaxes blood vessels, much like the prescribed sexual enhancer Viagra – better still, without the potential side-effects! Additionally, for hopeful parents, watermelon also contains a substance called lycopene, which can help and protect the prostate gland. Furthermore, selenium can help with fertility issues for couples trying to have a baby.
- Celery – Who said that human beings couldn’t produce pheromones? For the body-builders amongst you, celery has been proven to have natural steroid hormones. On nibbling this naughty vegetable, it releases a subtle scent which can attract the opposite sex. Additionally, it contains vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin E and zinc that are essential for reproductive health.
- Fish – Even though the scent is often a sign to be suspicious, fish has the fatty attribute of Omega-3, which is good for the heart, brain and for the blood flow. On a date, if you anticipate a long night ahead of you, then chowing down a high-fat meal may not be the best way to go. Instead, pick a fish course, which will keep you active and awake.
- Kiwi – This fuzzy fruit is a fantastic enhancer for the libido – but it isn’t just kiwi. Any fruits with citric acid are great helpers in the hunt to feel sexy. This is the fruit for the ladies – citric fruits can increase blood flow and also rocket that sex drive.
According to professors, anything that you eat that is good for the heart is also good for you down south. A healthy body means a healthy sex life …
Who knew?
