Everybody ages, but it is up to every person to make the process go slower or faster. This is according to the Old School New Body programme, which claims to have identified the best exercise principles, and has developed a five-step anti-ageing system, in order to help you slow down the process of ageing, and take care of your wellbeing while doing it. So what are these five magic ways of helping you achieve the body you want?
1. The first step of the programme explains that you shouldn’t worry about eating in general, and it’s not necessary to follow a low-fat diet. The belief of the book is that fats are responsible for producing some of your most important hormones. Testosterone, for example, comes from people eating foods that are full of cholesterol, and so fat will actually help your body to regenerate.
2. This part of the programme involves a discussion about spinning classes. Sure, it can seem like pumping away on a bike is working wonders for your wellness, but according to the Old School New Body programme your weekly spinning class is not producing any powerful health effects on your body. Spinning does provide cardio exercise, but the sitting position renders this impact ineffective.
3. The third step of the programme aims to get inside your mind and beliefs about fat and ageing. You may believe that love handles are Nature’s way of telling you that you’re not 21 anymore, but the programme says that fat doesn’t care about age, or gender. The fact that men and women everywhere get fat is because they eat, drink and don’t exercise, not because they’re a little older. Although it may take a bit more effort on your part than it once did, older people can burn fat just like any young person can.
4. This penultimate step is concerned with hydration and pure water. Drinking plenty of pure water a day will rejuvenate your skin – making you look years younger – and also burn fat naturally. Pure water will also raise your energy levels, and help kidneys and liver work properly.
5. The fifth and final step in the book Old School New Body promotes not working out so much. Instead of going at the treadmill and weights in every spare minute you have, the book actually advises that you perform certain intelligent exercises, in less than an hour a day.
