Procter & Gamble Company, the world’s largest maker of household cleaning and personal care products, recently announced it will share all fragrance ingredients in its products. The global company will disclose fragrance ingredients down to 0.01 percent for its product portfolio of over 2,000 fragranced products in the U.S. and Canada by the end of 2019.
As well, Unilever announced in February an initiative to allow its customers to discover the ingredients in its products, including disclosing fragrance ingredients. The company will complete the disclosure of fragrance ingredients by 2018. This year, Unilever began disclosing the fragrance ingredients down to 0.01 percent of the product formulation. It will also disclose the details of the scent the fragrance ingredients brings, and more allergen information. It will add fragrance allergens to the labels of personal care products in the U.S. and launched an online tool to help people with allergies find products that will work for them.
