Celebrities are well known for their perfect bodies. It seems to be a part of the celebrity culture, or indeed perhaps just as a more general point of what it takes to become a star these days, that if you want the media spotlight, you need to be in great shape. But the world of celebrities can be one that often seems alien to our own, they seem to be able to stick to diets that we can’t imagine and stay slim throughout their careers. So we’ve decided to lift the lid on the reality of celebrity dieting and the way that the A-list stars keep themselves in shape. Let’s take a look:

Beyoncé is well known for her slim yet curvy body that she has had all the way through her beginnings with Destiny’s Child through her acting roles including the Austin Powers movie and also her solo singing career that saw her release hits such as Crazy In Love and Irreplaceable. So how does she keep that amazing figure through her success? She owes it to hula hooping and plenty of other different cardio workouts. Hula hooping actually works out a surprising number of muscles, not only tightening your waist, but also strengthening your core and improves your leg muscles. It also helps with toning and flexibility.

 

Katy Perry

Another star who is famous for her perfect figure, Katy Perry is known for her ability to look amazing in highly revealing and skin-tight clothes. But it is well known that she is not a fan of going to the gym, so if she wants to stay in shape how does she do it? Katy says that the most important part of her workout is skipping. Skipping is known as an excellent way of staying in shape, it is used by top boxers as a part of their routine, although for Katy she likes it because of the rhythmic nature and the fact that it is almost like dancing while working out. It is a fantastic cardio workout that also helps to improve co-ordination and endurance.

 

Scarlet Johansson

Being naturally beautifully, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Scarlet Johansson might not need to put in an awful lot of effort to keep herself in the public eye. But she is also well known for her devotion and the fact that she puts in the hard work to stay in shape. In fact, recent roles have seen her pushing a more action-packed and physical aspect of her performing, and indeed in The Avengers movie, she dons a skin-tight leather suit, so it was important for her to be looking her best. To do this she uses kettleballs. Kettleballs are bowling ball-size weights with a handle on top, they are great for sculpting your muscles but also provide an alternative to cardio if you’re looking to stay on top of your fitness levels. They are a tough workout, but Scarlet loves them.

 

Eva Longoria

The Desperate Housewives star has a novel way of staying in shape. It’s one that is very useful and has been growing in popularity in recent years, but might still seem a little out of the ordinary: Eva Longoria loves pole dancing. Pole dancing requires you to use a lot of strength in order to hold yourself up on the pole. This means that it can tone up your upper body as well as helping you to increase your co-ordination, balance and even your confidence. Pole dancing clearly works for Eva, who is looking as fantastic as ever.
