If we believe researchers at Indiana University, most of the women aren’t achieving orgasm in casual encounters.
‘Only one quarter of women reliably experience orgasm through intercourse alone while another third rarely or never have orgasms from intercourse,’ according to a review of 32 studies conducted by Dr Elisabeth Lloyd at Indiana University. ‘Like generations before them, many young women are finding that casual sex doesn’t bring the physical pleasure that men experience,’ Lloyd was quoted as saying in the Mirror.
In a latest survey of 600 college students at Binghamton University, researchers found that women were twice as likely to reach orgasm from intercourse or oral sex in serious relationships as in one-night stands, says the report.
Another New York University study of 24,000 students at 21 colleges over five years found that about four in 10 women had an orgasm during their last hook-up involving intercourse, while eight out of 10 men did.
‘Roughly three quarters of women in the survey said they had an orgasm the last time they had sex in a committed relationship. That’s attributed to practice with a partner,’ Lloyd added.
Young men surveyed, said the report, often admitted that they’re less focused on sexually pleasing a woman they’re seeing casually than one they’re serious about.
