Could the New Female Viagra Boost Your Sex Life?

A new pill is being hailed as the ‘female Viagra’ and could be the answer to one of the biggest health concerns facing women today: female sexual dysfunction. This pill could improve women’s sexual wellness and wellbeing, enabling them to enjoy full and healthy sex lives.

This is a herbal pill and it is called Lady Prelox. In scientific tests, it has been proved to significantly improve a woman’s sexual pleasure. You can buy Lady Prelox from the high-street complementary food chain, Holland & Barrett. It goes on sale this month.

It is sold as a pink pill and contains a supplement called pycnogenol which is an extract of French pine bark. The manufacturers of the pill are claiming that it is the female version of the Viagra pill (which, amusingly, is a little blue pill). Viagra is the most common erectile dysfunction drug for men.

It’s not cheap to get your hands on these, however. A pack of 60 of the little pink tablets will set you back around £37.95. That might sound reasonable until you realise that you have to take two per day throughout the month, even on days that you don’t intend to have sex. This means that a pack is only going to last you about one month.

Nord Pharma is the manufacturer of Lady Prelox. They claim that the product encourages increased blood flow to the female reproductive organs as well as to the brain, and that this is how it increases arousal and boosts libido in women.

Scientific tests were carried out in Italy on a very small study (around 40 volunteers all in their late 40s or early 50s) and there was another small group of women aged between 37 and 45. Both groups took the pills and reported a significant improvement in their sex lives and function.
