You’ll need a room which is already relatively safe, one which isn’t filled with sharp things and doesn’t have surfaces or too many cupboards for your baby to get stuck under. It’s also worth thinking about how much thoroughfare a room gets, hallways for example may have people hurrying through them and the last thing you’re going to want is your baby to be stepped on!
Once you’ve picked your room you’ll need to baby-proof it even more than it already was. Remove anything delicate, make sure you’ve protected any sharp corners and put locks on any cupboards. Once this is all done, it’s advisable to get down to the level of your baby and look for hazards from their angle. It might seem a little strange but this isn’t an area in which you’d want to miss anything, it’s your child’s well-being after all.
Once your room is baby proof you’ll want to put up gates to help keep your child in the areas you’ve made safe. Once this is all set up you’re ready to unleash your little one into their new world. They’ll have a great time exploring and you’ll have a great time watching, secure in the knowledge that they’re safe to find wonder in whatever they desire!
