JUDO national team coach Moola Limpile has declared his team ready for the Africa Senior Championship.
Limpile, whose Judokas have been in camp for three months explained that the team was ready to go and compete for medals at the June 21 to 28 championship in Mauritius.
He said he was confident of the team that was in camp and promised Zambians at least two gold medals.
“We have been in camp for over three months now; I have a team I proudly say would deliver for Zambia. At the moment, we are just fine-tuning, waiting to leave on 18th June. Both the ladies and gentlemen are looking forward to the championship in Mauritius,” Limpile said.
Limpile explained that since the Mauritius games would also act as 2016 qualifiers, Judokas were expected to do well.
He named the men’s team as Mathew Punza and David Chisanga (66kg), Joshua Nyondo and William Kalunga (60kg), Boas Munyonga (81Kg).
The two ladies are Nokhutula Banda (63kg) and Abigail Chendele (62kg).
