Excess body fat can become a hormone creator on its own. This isn’t good in the fragile ecosystems of our body as it doesn’t take much to make us ill or unstable and hormones regulate everything we do. Too much or too little of certain hormones can have devastating consequences for our wellness. In ladies, body fat can cause an overproduction of oestrogen which can lead to higher chances of contracting breast cancer and in both men and women leptin and ghrelin may be overproduced which can lead to increased levels of hunger at times when you’re actually not hungry at all!

One of the big metabolic disorders suffered by those with uncontrolled weight and body fat levels is type two diabetes. Excess body fat can lead to insulin sensitivity or resistance which in turn leads to diabetes. This disease is a life changing condition which has the very real potential to kill you, unless you completely reform the way you live your life!

Heart Problems

Having a larger body mass means your heart will have to work harder to pump blood around your body, this means your heart may get strained and eventually wear out. Eating an excessively fatty diet will clog your arteries with cholesterol and this can lead to heart disease, heart attack, coronary arrest and ultimately, death.
