Six Ways To Spice Up Your Diet And Keep The Flavour

One of the main issues with trying to lose weight through dieting is not enjoying the things you eat on that diet. It’s all very well and good aiming to lose X amount of weight in X amount of time, but once you get to your target are you going to stay there if you don’t like the food you’re eating? No, if you’re like almost every one of us of course you won’t. People want to eat things they enjoy, eating is a great pleasure in life and it should be something which is looked forward to and savoured not something which is put up with moderate distaste.

It’s for that reason, here are some excellent ways for you to create a healthy diet which doesn’t skimp on the flavour. You’ll be able to genuinely enjoy the meals you eat without having to suffer through bland mouthfuls and without having to watch friends enjoy mouth-watering streaks while you’re stuck chewing on a stalk of celery. Here how we think you can do it:

Firstly –Spices and Herbs aren’t that calorific if you use fresh ones so don’t be miserly, stick in as much as your taste buds can handle.

Secondly –Replace all potatoes with sweet potatoes, you can do the same things with them but they’re not nearly as full of carbs and as such are much better for you.

Thirdly – Cayenne pepper ups your metabolism so you’ll burn off fat faster. Use it sparingly but use it in everything you cook, it’s got a great taste which you can balance with oregano or a little black pepper.

Fourthly – If you’re going to snack, snack on ice lollies. They’re sweet and tasty but you’ll find that you can’t eat too much or too many without a brain freeze! Great to help you cut down the snacks.

Fifthly – All things in moderation. If you love a specific dish then look at how it’s made, identify the bad bits and work out good substitutes for them!

Sixthly – Don’t fry. What tastes just as good is baking things in foil. If you splash in some olive oil, some well picked herbs and maybe just a dash of single fat cream you make any veg taste fantastic!
