The Battle Towards a Slimmer You: Part two

Welcome back to your second dose of straight talking weight loss ideas. These are slight changes you can make to your life and way of thinking which should help you shed those pounds and then keep them off altogether. Too many diets and nutrition plans help you get to your goal weight and then abandon you there with no idea how to maintain it, this guise is different and if you stick to it you’ll find it much easier to maintain the weight you want to be!

 

1.  A Salad a Day…
Could keep that weight away! Don’t bother with potato salad, I’m talking lettuce with a tiny splash of dressing and maybe some tomato. Have it with a meal but make sure you’re eating it at least once a day!

2.  Plate Configuration Beats Hard Maths
One sure-fire way to make weight loss into a chore is by counting calories and measuring everything you eat. Nobody wants to pay that much attention to what they eat. If you fill half your plate with uncooked vegetables, quarter with cooked vegetables and the other quarter with protein (meat)  then you’ll find yourself eating a balanced diet without any of the effort. Just try and avoid seconds!

3.  Keep Drinking…

Water. If you’re dehydrated your body will hang onto whatever water it has, causing fluid retention which can bloat you and leave you feeling bigger than you actually are!

4.  Any Movement…

Is good movement. I can understand hating sport or exercise but it really doesn’t matter what you do, as long as it’s movement. Go for a walk occasionally or dance while nobody’s watching, even the tiniest amount of exercise is better than none at all!

5.  Feel your Achievement

It doesn’t matter how little or how far you’ve come, you’ve travelled that distance on your own willpower. You need you celebrate every pound you lose and keep that positive mind set. Being negative about it all will make losing weight much more difficult and much more unpleasant! Never give up and remember you can do it if you try. It’s all you and you are worth every second of effort you put in. Get going!
