The study was carried out by Harvard Medical School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the US National Institutes of Health, GlaxoSmithKline and institutions in Portugal and Australia. Even though the study shows promising medical results in terms of the effect of the protein, researchers are quick to note that such claims of living to 150 are highly flawed, as are suggestions that this pill could be available in the next five years which have no evidence to back them. The research didn’t take into account the other compounds which affect one’s lifespan, so further research needs to be carried out to determine how humans could increase their lifespan.
If you want to improve your health, and potentially your lifespan, you should aim to increase your level of exercise in order to keep your weight at a healthy level, improve flexibility and general wellbeing. In addition to this, you should aim for a balanced diet which incorporates all of the vital nutrients your body needs to stay healthy and fight disease. This, alongside mental exercises to keep your mind agile, will help to prolong your lifespan for as long as possible.
