GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Disc Golf Association hosted a grand opening of their new course Saturday at Warden Park.
Disc golf is played like golf with Frisbee-like disks, with an objective to throw them into baskets in the least number of shots. Last weekend, the association rebuilt the course at Warden Park.
The 9-member association transformed the 10-hole course to 18, digging holes and putting new baskets and signs in. More than a dozen businesses pitched in $450 dollars each for the project.
Great Falls Disc Golf Association president Drew Kent says, “This is a gift from the businesses of Great Falls to the community of Great Falls. Although we’ve come out, we’ve done the work, it’s truly all because of the Great Falls businesses. We’ve really made this easy to learn and easy to play.”
Signs around the course also have QR codes for information to assist players. Kent says the course is suitable for players of all ages.
