When you are looking after something as tiny and precious and new as a baby, anti-aging may be the last thing on your mind. It is interesting to note, though, that products that protect the wellness and wellbeing of babies’ skin are actually anti-aging products in a sense, too.
People always use the phrase ‘as soft as a baby’s skin’ when referring to the ideal kind of skin. In addition to this, whilst we think about anti-aging as something that is only applicable to people over the age of about 50, in truth of course we age constantly from the moment we are born.
It is important, therefore, to start protecting that baby soft skin as early as you can, and therefore to look for really good baby skin products to nourish them on the outside (much as you nourish and protect them on the inside with organic baby food and nourish their minds by providing stimulating baby toys).
In order to make sure you are choosing the best products for your baby, there are some things that you should bear in mind. Try to look for products, for example, that have cruelty free credentials. Look out for products that have not been tested on animals in any way. In addition to this, you should make sure that your product has good green and eco-friendly credentials.
Remember to make sure that the products for your baby are free from sodium lauryl sulphate, petrochemicals, pthalates and parabens, which can be harmful for your baby’s skin and are commonly found in shampoos and babywashes.
These are harmful ingredients and can be absorbed through your baby’s skin. They can be linked with numerous different health problems such as nerve cell damage and cancer. They can also be linked to environmental damage. Finally, these chemicals are also very harsh on soft baby skin and can lead to dermatological irritation and eczema.
