The Cleveland Browns weren’t done signing wide receivers after agreeing to terms with Miles Austin earlier this afternoon. The team announced they have also signed Earl Bennett.
Bennett has spent his entire career with the Chicago Bears after being drafted by the team in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Last season the 27 year old appeared in 15 games catching 32 passes for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. His most productive campaign came in his rookie season when he hauled in 54 passes for 717 yards.
Bennett is on the short side of NFL for wide receivers standing at an even 6 foot. At Vanderbilt University, he set the Southeastern Conference record for career receptions with 236.
