DoMark International Inc. said it will launch an online shopping platform called Simbadeals.ca, to connect media owners, retailers and consumers.
DoMark President and CEO Andrew Ritchie — former vice president of production with The Globe and Mail in Toronto — said 110 retailers, including Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot, have already partnered with the company for its U.S. launch, which is expected in the next six to seven weeks. The Toronto-based company, which owns the North American distribution rights for the proprietary technology Monetizer 101, will launch the Canadian version of Simbadeals.com in the next two weeks.
Simbadeals.com allows retailers to move excess or discounted merchandise, and in return, media companies will be paid a commission for driving traffic to retailers. Retailers, in turn, receive new revenue streams and increased page views on their websites, the company said.
