After a spring practice season that started under cold, cloudy skies, the WKU Hilltoppers worked through their final practice ahead of Saturday’s Red and White Spring Game under perfect conditions on Thursday.
Spring football on The Hill is brought to you by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety’s: Don’t Text and Drive Awareness Program. The spring will be capped off by the annual Red and White Spring Game, set for Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m.
With cool temperatures and a slight breeze, the Hilltoppers separated into their Red and White sides for Saturday’s game and worked through team situations to gain even more familiarity in their 14th spring practice under first-year head coach Jeff Brohm.
“I think our guys have taken (the spring season) seriously,” Brohm said following the practice. “They’ve worked hard and I think they’ll be ready to play a game come Saturday. I’m looking for us to execute and improve on some of the things we didn’t do well last year.”
Saturday’s game will feature free admission, tailgating, parking and giveaways throughout the game. Fans can receive a free Coke/WKU koozie as one of the first 1,500 in the stadium while the first 200 students will get a free `Get on the #BrohmSquad’ t-shirt. A free post-game autograph session with Coach Brohm and the players will also follow.
