The De-construction And Permanent Relief Of Stress

In today’s frantic and high-pressurised world, the word stress is becoming increasingly used.  However, intriguing new studies conducted in India have resulted in a series of techniques that aim to eliminate stress not just in the short-term but from the rest of your life completely.

The research has also re-defined the nature of stress and how it impacts upon the individual and involves a process in which the word, stress is de-constructed. Psychologist, Ms. Shilpi Ashta explains:

“It is not the stress that takes a toll on our mental health, it is the attitude and our reaction to situations that leads us to mental disorders. In this ever changing world and life where not many things work in accordance to what we expect, stress should be taken as icing on the cake which comes in to measure our level of tolerance and limit to go ahead. The word “stressed” should be taken as “desserts”(when spelled backward) and should be treated that way only. The best way to deal with stress is with humour and laughter.”

This represents a radically new approach to how people recognise and deal with stress and is a philosophy that has been combined with five different stress-management and relief techniques to expel it from your life for good. The first technique aims to identify the sources of stress either by writing them down or by drafting a visual interpretation. The second requires organising your schedule in advance so stress-related situations can be predicted and managed. The third involves the use of specific techniques such as exercising, breathing, and drinking plenty of the water that can help to keep your mind focused and calm. The fourth requires the mind to replace negative thoughts with positive ones on a daily basis, and finally, the fifth approach requires attaining a meditative-state in order to keep life’s worries at bay.
