Fly fishing expo hits fairgrounds this weekend

 

ELLENSBURG — The 2014 Washington Fly Fishing Fair is set for Saturday-Sunday, May 3-4 at the Kittitas County fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. This is the eighth year the statewide meeting has been in Ellensburg.

 

The weekend of activities is geared for all ages and include a number of free seminars, workshops (some with fees), demonstrations by more than 100 fly tiers, casting demonstrations, a free nine-hole casting course at the park, casting contests and prizes, according to a news release and the federation website.


“All aspects of fly fishing are demonstrated and shown to all that attend the event,” said Federation Board member Chet Allison in the news release.
