Student survives fall from fifth floor
JOHOR BARU: A 24-year-old student survived a fall from the fifth floor of a college building despite crashing onto a parked car.
She fell at around 3.30pm and injured her right heel. She was conscious after the fall.
Apparently, she told health officers who rushed there in an ambulance that she had no recollection of what had transpired.
Johor Baru South police chief Asst Comm Sulaiman Salleh said investigations revealed that she had entered the building at around 3pm to meet a friend.
“She studies at the City Pro College at Jalan Wong Ah Fook, which is about 50m away from the place of incident. A witness who works nearby told us that he saw her falling onto the bonnet of a Proton Wira,” he said.
ACP Sulaiman said police contacted the woman’s parents, who apparently told them that she was facing some issues previously and was receiving treatment from a hospital in Johor Jaya.
