TEN Casino rugby league players will line up for Southern Bundjalung when the Timber Cup is played in Lismore next month.

Casino is one of the form teams of the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition and it is no surprise to see so many selected in the side.

The Timber Cup returned in the form of a one-off clash on the June long weekend in 2013 after a seven-year absence.

Southern ran out winners against Northern Bundjalung at 16-6 and will be hard to beat again.

Casino coach Troy McLean will also coach the side for the first time.

The Timber Cup showcases the best indigenous players from across the region.

Roy Bell will captain the Southern team again with the 2013 player-of-the-match Ryan Binge also playing.

The Southern team is made up of players from Casino, Kyogle, Evans Head, Kyogle, Lower Clarence and Grafton.

Northern United are hosting the event again and will have a big presence in the Northern team.

Ballina five-eighth Alwyn Roberts will captain the team which includes 10 from Northern United.

There are also players from Byron Bay and Marist Brothers in the side.

Each side includes one player from the under-18s competition

All players are registered with NRRRL or the Group 2 competition on the Mid North Coast.

The game will be played at Oakes Oval, Lismore on June 7.
