UGA bass fishing team of Kenney, Treadwell finishes month with back-to-back championships
A University of Georgia bass fishing team picked up its second tournament title in as months in late May when it won the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship at Lake Pickwick in Pickwick, Ala.
The team of Byron Kenney and Will Treadwell hauled in 23.68 pounds on the first day, May 22, and 26.16 pounds on the second day for a 49.68-pound total, about four pounds better than the runners-up Landon Anderson and Tyler Arms of Tennessee Tech.
Another team of Georgia students, Bo Larkins and Brian Rosso, finished 59th with 24.39-pound two-day total.
A week earlier, Kenney and Treadwell won the FLW College Fishing Southeastern Conference Qualifier on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Ala.
