The 26-year-old goalie was the joint longest-serving player at the Elite League club.

Even though he was never first choice – he played only 36 games in four seasons with the Clan – he was good enough to be Great Britain’s number three stopper and went to April’s World Championships.

Will, who is spending the summer playing in Australia for Adelaide Adrenaline, said: “Ideally, I’d like to stay in the Elite League but it’s tough, teams often don’t have the budget to pay that well as a back-up.

“It was a bit of a shock that Braehead decided to do what they did.

“The club has been a massive part of my life and it’s been a great experience.

“I’m sure something will come up, I’m not overly worried but we’ll have to see what happens.”

TREBLE-WINNING hero Bruce Graham is on his way back to Nottingham in a shock move.

Panthers’ boss Corey Neilson has spent weeks trying to tempt Graham, 28, back to the Elite League and has finally won the battle.

He said: “He scored 40 goals for us and is in the prime of his life.”

Graham was one of the stars of the Panthers’ treble-winning squad two years ago but took time out to be with his family before making a comeback with Central Hockey League Allen Americans late last year.

HOMEGROWN discovery Stephen Gunn, 28, has signed a new deal at Fife.

Flyers’ No.2 Danny Stewart said: “Gunny has come on a long way since we joined the Elite League and he gives us a scoring threat on the third line.”
