‘Desperate’ dating show is just so outdated

FOUR men attempt to win over an audience of admiring women – it’s the sexing up of badminton that’s been so desperately required.

This new dating show, just what TV needs, sees former Westlife star Brian McFadden and presenter Laura Jackson task chaps to bare their soul in the hope of winning a dream date. It really is that original.

To help them on their way, the men face a series of challenges designed to reveal their innermost secrets and influence the women either for or against them.

At the end of each round, the 40 females must indicate their choice by standing in line closest to he who has most bowled them over. Those with any last remnants of self-respect will stand by the door.

McFadden and Jackson, meanwhile, let slip snippets of gossip that could be game changers – ‘this bloke’s so desperate for a woman, he’s willing to go on a dating show on Channel Five’, that kind of thing.

For McFadden it’s the latest feather in his television presenting cap. He’s recently returned from a stint as a judge on Australia’s Got Talent, a series which finished after approximately 30 seconds.
