INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (June 13, 2014) – An all-­?star cast of instructors, including 2013 Grand National Champion Brad “The Bullet” Baker, three-­?time Grand National Champion – and current AMA Pro Flat Track points leader – Kenny Coolbeth, 2012 Grand National Champion Jammin’ Jared Mees, and Supermoto Champion and Daytona Short Track winner Johnny Lewis will host a one-­?day dirt track school at Mid-­?America Speedway in Indianapolis on August 11, 2014, the Monday following the Indy Mile and Indy MotoGP.

Joining the current and former Grand National Champions as instructors at the school will be Nichole Mees, the #1 female flat track racer in the world, with twenty-­?five Grand National Main event appearances to her credit; former racing great and Brad Baker’s current riding coach Mike Hacker; 2013 AMA Flat Track Pro Singles runner-­?up Ryan Wells; and 2014 Rookie of the Year contender Cody Johncox. The instructors boast a combined five Grand National Championships and forty-­?nine Grand National wins among them.

 

“We’re really excited to hold a school in Indy during the big Indy Mile/MotoGP weekend, taught by the best in the business,” said Hacker, who founded RIDE Academy in 2010. “This could be the winningest group of instructors at a one-­?day dirt track school in flat track history. Whether you’re just starting out or ride professionally, this is a school you don’t want to miss.”

 

RIDE Academy teaches riding using proprietary techniques, with particular focus on body position, steering and control. The student-­?to-­?teacher ratio is intentionally low, so each student can receive individualized attention. The school is open to students of all ages and levels, from beginner to professional. The cost for the one-­?day school, which will run from 9AM-­?7PM, is $400. This includes lunch and refreshments. Students can use their own bike, or rent one for the day. CRF 80s-­?230s can be rented for $100, while CRF 250s-­?450s are $250.
