Keith Richards Goes Reggae For Playing For Change Foundation’s Compilation
Keith Richards is featured on the upcoming album PFC3: Songs Around the World, the latest record from the Playing for Change project. Richards recorded “Words of Wonder,” a cut from his 1988 solo album, Main Offender, along with a cover of the Bob Marley classic “Get Up, Stand Up.”
“We traveled to record and film Keith Richards in the Caribbean and for days there was not a cloud in the sky,” Playing for Change co-founder Mark Johnson told Billboard.
“One the day of the recording a storm came from out of nowhere and it rained like crazy all day until right before sunset. When Keith appeared by the beach the clouds literally parted from the sky, a fire pit started to burn and we where ready to record the legend.”
The Playing for Change Foundation is a non-profit created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music, primarily through supporting music and arts education.
