England defender Gary Cahill has revealed he has asked his Chelsea team-mates Oscar, Willian and David Luiz on how to deal with the heat in Brazil this summer.

Cahill, who was backed by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to shine this summer, is an integral part of the England squad and is expected to line up against Italy in the Three Lions’ opening Group D match on Saturday.

The Chelsea defender had a brilliant season for the Blues and he will look to make an impression this summer in South America.

One thing Cahill will not be used to is the heat and he has revealed how he has asked some of the Brazilians from west London on how to cope with the blistering temperatures.

According to the Mirror, Cahill told reporters about what his team-mates had to say to him.

He said: “I asked them about it. They said it will be very humid but we knew that. We’ve prepared the best we possibly can to face those kind of conditions.

“The Brazilian lads told me what it’s like but until you get up there and see it for yourself, feel the climate and see the pitch and everything else, then you don’t really know.

“The hardest thing is the feeling of being uncomfortable in that heat. When we first started training for it, it was tough but I think we’ve adapted.”
