ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) – Search and rescue crews found a group of four adults and one child who got lost while kayaking in Mckee Creek at Siloam Springs State Park Friday night.
Adams County Sheriff Brent Fischer says his office received a report of the missing group around 10:00 p.m. and his deputies searched the park with the Camp Point Police Department and search and rescue crews from Adams, Brown and Pike Counties.
Fischer says the group could not find their way back to their vehicles because of nightfall.
Officials say everyone was returned safely to their vehicles around 3:30 a.m.
