Buckeyes

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller is widely considered to be one of the elite signal callers in the nation. However, just like any other human being, he is not short of flaws, and unfortunately one of them has been the ability to stay healthy.

Missing some time once again last season, with Kenny Guiton masterfully filling in, the health red flags were raised once again. Then, in the waning moments of the Orange Bowl loss to the Clemson Tigers, you could tell that Miller’s ribs were in some pain as he took some stiff shots throughout the contest.

Still, since that January loss, Miller has had ample time to recover, and even after undergoing shoulder surgery this offseason, he seems to be feeling fine.

“I’m feeling good,” Miller said following a recent practice session.

While those were the only words from Miller himself in regards to the status of his health, head coach Urban Meyer shed a bit more light on the subject, and it was some very positive news.

“He’s on schedule, I think, a little ahead of schedule,” Meyer said. “His demeanor is fantastic. His attitude is great.”

This is tremendous news as, especially without Kenny G behind him this year, and with one of the toughest schedules ahead of them in college football this season, there’s not much leeway for Miller to miss any sort of significant time.
