Bettors believe in Jeff Driskel and Florida after a horrific 2013 season.

Florida, to the astonishment of many college football observers, floundered through a 4-8 season in 2013, but bookmakers are undervaluing the Gators ahead of the 2014 campaign, according to bettors who wagered on Games of the Year posted Friday at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Granted, one of those games was the Sept. 20 SEC tilt at mighty Alabama, where bettors took Florida +21, prompting an adjustment to Alabama -20. A more significant move on the Gators came for their Oct. 11 home game against LSU, as Florida opened as 9-point underdogs and were bet down to +6.5. Bettors laid the points with Florida at home against Missouri the following Saturday, Oct. 18, causing a line move from Florida -3 to -4.

Louisville and TCU also took early action at the Nugget, as multiple point spreads moved in their direction.

Teams money has gone against include Auburn, USC and in particular, Oklahoma. The Sooners saw the spread move against them in six different games. Meanwhile, bettors took the points with Kansas State against Auburn (the line moved from -13 to -11) and laid ‘em with ‘Bama against the Tigers (the Tide moved from -6 to -7 in the Iron Bowl).

But oddsmaker Aaron Kessler told The Linemakers on Sporting News that the early line movement at the Nugget this year was not even close to that of last year, which indicates the books’ ratings were pretty tight.

Here’s a look at the updated lines on the 200 Games of the Year available for wagering at the Golden Nugget.
