SOUTH HAVEN | Portage Township Schools cross country coaches and runners will lead a cross country camp at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Unit for youths entering grades 4 though 8. The Portage cross country camp will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday at the South Haven unit, 723 Long Run Road. Runners will learn proper stretching technique, running form, and the importance of good nutrition and study habits. The camp will conclude with a camp race and each runner will receive a Portage cross country T-shirt.
The fee for the camp is $20 per participant. Register now through Tuesday at the South Haven Unit. Participants must be a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County or a student at Paul Saylor Elementary or South Haven Elementary School.
