The Galva School Board voted 4-3 Monday night to sign a contract seeking to co-op high school baseball, softball and track and field with Williamsfield School District for the spring seasons of 2015 and 2016.Voting in favor of the move were Dave North, John VanDeVelde, Gary Edmonds and Darcy Jeffries. Voting against were Jeff Hawes, Terri Jo Russell and Andrew Larson.

Williamsfield recently tabled signing a contract to co-op spring sports with ROWVA School District. It’s not clear whether Williamsfield will vote to co-op with Galva, something they’ve done in baseball and softball for a few years.

Galva, Williamsfield and ROWVA have also co-oped together football, cross country and golf for several years. ROWVA and Williamsfield co-oped track and field this past spring.
